Joe and Martha envisioned a raised garden bed that would provide protection from the wind while adding more space for plants and flowers. They had a specific planter style in mind and loved the idea of incorporating a bit of weirdness into the project—something folly-esque and vaguely ruinous.

We spent the build alongside their dog Max, who kept watch nearby throughout the day. Special thanks to Joe for joining us at the quarry to help select and move stone, and for building the adjacent patio alongside the wall installation.
