memory garden wall

On Casey’s property is a memorial garden where her family laid to rest a few of their special pets. Casey was interested in a wall that was sittable, as well as interesting to look at–a loose fit and finish, informal, stones set off-level like it had been there a while–that matched the segment of wall that already existed, built by a waller some years before. We added the little niche as a site to leave offerings or special items. Or, to be used as a lean-to for the chipmunks that darted in and out of the wall while we were building.
