A gathering space centered around the elements—stone, wood, fire. Four repurposed stone offcuts from a Barre granite shed were incorporated into the build, two stacked together to form a portal, and two becoming firewood holders alongside a stone bench, all centered around a fire pit. 

 

The design includes a semicircular wall that transitions from stone into wood, with features placed to mark the cardinal directions—north, south, east, and west. The granite portal offering a view from the bench, through the fire, framing the hills in the distance. And a few stones collected from meaningul moments that were tucked into the build, adding an extra layer of personal memories and history to its story.
